1 year on .....
Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 9:54AM it's a year today since Fletcher was diagnosed. at that time i couldn't have imagined that he would even be here today. to be told that your son has an "aggressive" brain tumor obviously you don't think the future looks particularly good. well today things
greenwich park - august 2010 do look good. we have a beautiful blonde little ball of energy running around the place. everyday i am grateful, today i feel especially grateful.
Fletcher seems to have come out of this unchanged (apart from not being keen on doctors!), he is a caring, loving, sweet little boy. he doesn't complain about things, he gets on with them, he tells me he loves me at least once a day. he gives out kisses and cuddles often. if he sees a little cut on me or someone he loves he is filled with concern and says "ah you've got a hurt bit" and he insists on kissing it better. if we spend the day with family or friends he gets upset when we leave because he will miss them. he loves to play, run, jump, swim, sing and dance and i love to watch him do all these things. he also loves to laugh, i seeing his little chuckling face and it doesn't take much to make him laugh. the best thing is when he hides, its not hard to find him as you can hear him chuckling a mile away. he is a pleasure to be around.
i feel very very lucky today and very proud of my beautiful, brave, amazing little boy.

Hi,
I have been following Fletcher's progress since last October and I am so pleased to hear he is doing so fantastically well, you really have something to celebrate today, following such a horrendus year! You have all had remarkable strength and courage and I hope life stays kind to you all in the future.
And may I say thank you for allowing us all to see how little Fletcher is doing, I have 3 yr old myself and so I often wonder how he is doing - your updates also humble me - I treasure every day with my daughter, life is so precious.
Good luck to you all X
